The Committee on Appointments chaired by the Speaker Hon. James Gichuhi has the vetted County Executive Committee Members (CEC) nominees for various positions forwarded to the County Assembly by the Nyeri Governor H.E Mutahi Kahiga
Those vetted and later approved by the Assembly for appointment include Mwangi Robert Thuo; Finance, Economic Planning and ICT, James Wachihi Muturi; Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Margaret Wangechi Macharia; Education, Tarichia Diana Kendi; Trade, Culture and Tourism, Esther Muthoni Ndung’u; Gender, Youth, Social Services and Sports, Fredrick Wanjohi Kinyua; Water, Environment and Solid Waste Management and Simon Ndirangu Gachunia County Public Service and Public Administration.
Chaired by the Speaker, the Appointments Committee Membership is comprised of the Majority Leader and Mahiga Ward MCA Hon. James Kanyugo, Wamagana Ward MCA Hon. Sabastian Theuri, Kirimukuyu Ward MCA Hon. Muriithi Ndagita, Gakawa Ward MCA Hon. Charity Wachira and Hon. Janet Kamiru (Gender Representative).
