𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐘 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘 𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐏𝐓𝐒 𝟗-𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐔𝐃𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓/𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔Members of the County Assembly have called on the County Executive to enhance the implementation and absorption of development programmes within the financial year by strengthening project planning, monitoring and expenditure management to ensure approved projects are implemented efficiently and within the set timelines.The Report on the consideration of the Controller of Budget on County Government's Budget Review for the first nine months of 2025/2026 Financial Year assesses Nyeri County budget implementation, revenue performance, financial management and compliance with statutory requirements. It was prepared in accordance with Article 228(6) of the Constitution.The Report tabled by the Chairperson Committee on Budget and Appropriation,Hon.Erastus Karanja also recommends that the County Treasury should strengthen own-source revenue mobilisation and administration by improving revenue collection systems, enhancing enforcement and regularly monitoring revenue performance against approved targets.The Report further emphasises the need for Fund Administrators to prepare and submit all statutory financial and non-financial reports to the relevant oversight institutions on time, as required by the Public Finance Management Act, 2012.
