Message from the county assembly speaker

Legislative Assemblies play an important role in our system of governance because they undertake very crucial functions of oversight, representation and legislation at the County level. The Assemblies are the gatekeepers of public resources who represent the interest of the electorates and as such they ensure the peoples’ will is safeguarded.

This webpage is an interactive platform where the citizens will follow up Assembly undertakings.

Hon. James Gichuhi Mwangi, The Speaker

Message from the county assembly clerk

The purpose of this website is to act as a link between the Assembly, the electorate and all stakeholders. It details the day to day activities of the Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) and Staff in ensuring that Nyeri County is well represented, necessary legislations are enacted, and oversight of the Executive is done accordingly. It thus conveys our vision of becoming an effective, efficient and transformative Assembly.

Mr. Jenard Mwiggeh, The Clerk
