Message from the county assembly clerk
The purpose of this website is to act as a link between the Assembly, the electorate and all stakeholders. It details the day to day activities of the Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) and Staff in ensuring that Nyeri County is well represented, necessary legislations are enacted, and oversight of the Executive is done accordingly. It thus conveys our vision of becoming an effective, efficient and transformative Assembly.

Kiruga Thuku ( Chinga Ward MCA) has called for urgent interventions by the Committee on Water and Sanitation Services concerning the discrepancies on the rates charged by Kihari Water Project for water supply in Chinga and Mathioya areas. The Ward Representative has requested for a comprehensive answer on the action the department will take to promote the principles of equity and non-discrimination amongst the water consumers under the jurisdiction of Kihari Community Water Project.![]()

3. Hon. Njuguna Kawanjiku( Mweiga Ward MCA) has called upon the Department of Trade to issue a comprehensive statement on the status of the Nyeri County Enterprise Development Fund affordable loans since the year 2018 to date. ![]()

The response should provide a tabulation of the fund beneficiaries, whether there are loan repayment defaults, the total amount of interest earned from the disbursement of the fund and the total amount incurred in the administration of the fund among others.
