Jane Wandia( Gender Representative) has urged the County Department in charge of Trade,Tourism and Co-operatives to urgently operationalize Chaka Fish Market, calling for clear timelines on when the facility will become fully functional and officially opened for use by fish farmers.The Legislator observed that despite its completion, the market remains idle with no trading activities taking place. Simon Mbogo, this morning conducted site visits to Holy Spirit Fire Fellowship Church in Witima and Mucharage to address land disputes following public petitions.At Holy Spirit Fire Fellowship Church, the Committee inspected the disputed area after receiving a petition requesting the Assembly to facilitate a transparent resolution of the boundary and access road dispute between the Church and neighbouring landowners.The Committee also toured Mucharage following a separate petition urging the Assembly to engage the Department of Lands to facilitate the commencement of the cadastral planning process for Land Parcel No. LR CHINGA /GIKIGIE/1529(FORMELY LR CHINGA/GIKIGIE/559) with the aim of finding an amicable and lasting solution to the land ownership concerns.During the visits, the Committee engaged all parties involved and encouraged dialogue and cooperation.
