𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐏𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐄𝐓𝐔 𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃Members of the County Assembly have adopted a report of the Public Investments Committee(PIC) on the reports of the Auditor General on Tetu Aberdare Water and Sanitation Company Limited(TEAWASCO) for the Years ended 30th June, 2021 and 2022 in a motion moved by the Chairperson PIC, Hon. Ngaru Wakibia. This is in line with the mandate of the Committee which is to examine the Annual Reports of the Auditor General on the account of the County Government entity including County Corporations. To address the queries raised in the report of the Auditor General, the Committee reccomends that the management should maintain an up-to- date debtors aging analysis with the specific period of debts. Additionally, the management should ensure timely tarrif review and implementation in line with regulatory timelines. Further, they should ensure timely preparation and review of bank reconciliations. Atanasio kabaire), has requested for a statement through the Committee on Special Programmes on the plans in place to ensure every County Government facility has a Certified Kenya Sign Language Interpreter and a Disability Mainstreaming Officer.In his request, Hon. Kabaire was concerned that in various instances, persons with hearing impairments are compelled to hire private interpreters at their own cost, adding to their financial costs. The Legislator emphasized the need to promote inclusive governance for Persons With Disabilities(PWDs) to fully enjoy equality, dignity, access to justice and participation in national development among others.Iria-ini Ward MCA ( Mathira) Hon. David Kabatha, has sought a statement on when the Department of Agriculture intends to deploy a team to Iria-ini Ward to vaccinate animals that were not covered during the previous exercise due to technical challenges.In his statement, the Ward Representative informed the House that the Department conducted a vaccination campaign against foot-and-mouth disease on 18th February,2026 . However, a significant number of cattle were by passed, as reported by field officers due to the failure of the digital data capture machine.The response to statement should also outline the preventive measures that the Department has put in place to avert the introduction and spread of foot-and-mouth disease among the unvaccinated cattle. ...
