Members of the County Assembly have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting sports development by continuing to allocate funds for sports merchandise. This initiative aims to nurture talent across the County while enhancing the growth of the sports sector.![]()

While supporting the adoption of the report presented by Hon. Jane Wandia( Gender Representative ) on Sports Merchandise distribution for the Financial year 2024/2025, the Legislators emphasized the importance of sustained investment in Sports as a strategic approach to national development, social transformation and economic empowerment. They noted that sports play a vital role in driving economic growth and supporting livelihoods.![]()

During a session chaired by the Deputy Speaker Hon. Samuel Kariuki,the MCAs also called on the Department of Gender and Sports to ensure timely supply of sports equipment. They stressed,this will enable the users to realize value for money and fully develop their potential.
