This approval was made in accordance with Section 19(5) of the Climate Change Act (2016) and Section 33 of the Nyeri Climate Change Act (2021).The report outlines the Countyโ€™s progress in implementing climate change initiatives aimed at strengthening climate resilience, sustainability and adaptation strategies. It identifies key enabling factors that have supported these efforts, including:1. Policy and regulatory frameworks that promote coordinated action;2. Technology and innovation driving efficient implementation;3. Capacity development and knowledge sharing among stakeholders; and4. Climate finance and resource mobilization initiatives supporting project sustainability.Additionally, the report reflects on lessons learned and challenges encountered during implementation. To address these challenges, the County Assembly resolved that the following actions be undertaken:1. Standardize reporting protocols and establish a centralized data management system.2. Build capacity and sensitize stakeholders on effective reporting practices.3. Enhance monitoring and reporting infrastructure by leveraging digital technology.4.
